Sustainability Governance

To enable a sustainable energy transition, businesses need to operate in a responsible manner. This means that Eolus requires our employees, as well as partners and suppliers, to act according to good business ethics. A solid governance structure, with clear requirements and expectations, distinct values, and collaboration are crucial to enable this. Eolus aims to be a demanding yet caring partner, transparent and responsible.

Governance and Organization

The Eolus Board of Directors holds the overall responsibility for ensuring that the company is managed in a sustainable and responsible manner. The daily responsibility for sustainability has been delegated by the Board to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who is responsible for implementing the Board’s decisions and strategies. All board members have extensive experience in both operational roles and board assignments within industries and companies with active sustainability work. The composition and competencies of the Board are described in more detail under Board of Directors.

The Group Management is responsible for the development and follow-up of strategy, priorities, guidelines, and decisions related to sustainability. Eolus’ Head of Communications and Sustainability is part of the executive management team and ensures that sustainability is integrated into decisions and operations.

Eolus’ General Counsel and Head of HR also play important roles in the company’s sustainability governance and are part of the executive management team. In addition, Eolus has two sustainability specialists and one HSE Manager (Health, Safety and Environment), who contribute to integrating sustainability issues across the organization. The responsibility for carrying out activities that help us achieve our goals is distributed across various roles – see the overview below.
